When you review our calendar and individual holiday leaflets you will see that the majority of our packages include accommodation. For ease of operation and peace of mind you will see that all deposits and payments are made direct to the hotel.
For all detail on the type of accommodation and so on you can deal direct with the hotel. If you would like more information on the dancing side then we are here to help. There are exceptions with some events such as Bridlington Spa you buy your tickets direct with the venue and arrange your own accommodation. We always try to provide options and flexibility and on some festivals there can be hotel residents with all dancing included together with the option for non-residents of obtaining seasons tickets/session tickets. Event leaflets that you can download from the Calendar will provide all the detail.

With over three decades of experience providing dance holidays we'll give you the perfect blend of great venues and dazzling entertainment. Philip Wylie is the originator and organiser of Holiday and Dance. Philip, a former amateur and professional championship competitor, is well known for delivering first class teaching and coaching in an enjoyable way - for both competitive and social dancers.
Enjoy first class live and recorded music, the world's best dancers in Cabaret, Ballroom and Latin Dance Master Classes and Workshops, and Learn and Improve and Learn to Dance sessions facilitated by experienced professionals. They're great value too!
Our picture shows Philip Wylie adjudicating the International Championships at the Albert Hall.
For social dancers, medallists, keen competitors or those just starting out; our dance holidays have something for everyone and for all levels and ability. We don't put people into boxes, however, to guide you in your choice of dance holiday, we would suggest that:
Social Dancers - includes those who dance occasionally at dinner dances and on holiday to those who dance for a hobby, perhaps at classes and possibly medallist dancers.
Competitive Dancers - from the relatively inexperienced to the very experienced.
A warm welcome to all dancers who enjoy MODERN BALLROOM and LATIN AMERICAN together with some popular Social Sequence, plus specialised Argentine Tango breaks.
In considering our dance programme maybe you are not quite certain about your own dance standard and whether it would be suitable for the different holidays on offer. Let us reassure you, we believe that our successful format of dancing in the evening, often with demonstrations, plus daily or maybe early evening ‘Learn & Improve sessions’ are absorbing, enjoyable, worthwhile and suitable for all levels whether Beginner or coming Champion. We tend to categorise dancing into the following areas:
SOCIAL DANCING This includes people such as Leisure Dancers who dance very occasionally maybe at dinner dances or on holiday and continues through to the Hobby Dancer who is more enthusiastic and dances weekly, possibly attending classes or lessons and sometimes continues through to medallist training. Within this category are early stage dancers (can be called Beginners) and to us this usually means those who have been dancing approx. 12 months or maybe returning to dance: ‘Learn & Improve sessions’ at our packages tend to be presented in separate sessions: early stage / intermediate & beyond.
LEARN TO DANCE Please see special programme for those who cannot dance or maybe wish to return and update – download or send for leaflet.
COMPETITIVE DANCING Covers a wide category from relatively inexperienced to very experienced of a high standard. The majority of the holidays detailed are suitable for all whether social or competitive. If you would like further guidance or reassurance please do not hesitate to telephone, email or write to Philip Wylie who will be pleased to help to ensure a happy dancing experience.
We believe in the famous saying ‘Friendship Through Dance’ and the sharing of dance experiences on holiday very much enhances the enjoyment with like-minded people. Rightly the benefits of the Holiday and Dance experience provides great satisfaction and with this in mind our range of dancing holidays whether weekend, mid-week or maybe week long festivals or overseas packages provide choice and opportunity. Please browse through our holiday calendar and consider the many options of hotels, ballrooms and venues, compare value being offered, enjoy the opportunities to view top class demonstrations or maybe national or international championship events. Please do not hesitate to make contact if you would like advice or guidance and of course we always welcome requests for particular resorts or venues. Happy Dancing
